About Wayvert
Last updated: 2026-10-26
Wayvert is a free set of tools for people who travel: a currency converter, a unit converter, a time zone and meeting finder, and a trip budget estimator with written guides for popular destinations. There is no account and no sign-up.
Who runs it
Wayvert is built and run by Wayvert. Questions, corrections and feedback are welcome on the contact page.
Where the information comes from
- Exchange rates come from public exchange-rate data and are mid-market rates, refreshed about once an hour. They are for planning, not a quote: banks and transfer services apply their own margins and fees.
- Time zones use your browser's built-in time zone database, so daylight saving changes are applied automatically.
- Unit conversions use exact definitions (for example one inch is exactly 2.54 cm).
- Trip budgets are estimates of typical costs per person per day for stay, food, local transport and activities, shown as ranges. They are generated with an AI model or, when that is unavailable, from rough regional averages, and are labeled with a confidence level. Prices change with the season, so treat them as a starting point.
- Destination guides are written by hand and cover the best time to go, where to stay, getting around and how to spend less.
How the site is funded
The site is free to use. It is supported by advertising and by some affiliate links to travel services. If you buy through an affiliate link we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Sponsored links are labeled, and they do not change the converters or the estimates. See the affiliate disclosure and the privacy policy.
Corrections
If you find a wrong figure, an out-of-date rule or a broken page, please tell us on the contact page. Estimates and guides are reviewed and updated when we learn something has changed.
